Former Germany international of Ghanaian descent, Gerald Asamoah, has expressed doubts about the ability of African countries to win the FIFA World Cup.
Morocco remains the only nation from the continent to have reached the semi-finals of the global showpiece.
Others, including Ghana and Senegal, have made it as far as the quarter-finals but have failed to progress beyond that stage.
“I want to see this before I leave the earth but it is not going to be easy.
“It is about teamwork and this is a problem Africans have. We have always some issues in the team.”
The next World Cup comes off in 2026, hosted by USA, Canada and Mexico with qualifying series yet to be completed.
