Experienced Ghana goalkeeper, Richard Ofori has been ruled out of a place in the final squad to be named for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Orlando Pirates shot-stopper since the start of the 2022/23 League season in South Africa has struggled to stay fit for long.
Although he recently recovered from an injury to help his team overcome AmaZulu in the Soweto derby, Richard Ofori has sustained another injury setback.
As a result, he has been ruled out of action for his team this weekend to his disappointment.
This is because the injury means he will miss out on making Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
According to footballghana’s inside sources, the goalkeeper is distraught with the injury as he believes this could have been his final dance at the mundial.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott has also suffered an injury after a problem with his finger.
While he is set to miss the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has been handed a late inclusion into Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the Qatar tournament.
