Ghana captain Andre Ayew has touched down in Abu Dhabi for the Black Stars’ pre-tournament training camp to prepare for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars are set to hold a short training camp in the United Arab Emirates before travelling to Qatar for this year’s mundial.
Already, captain Andre Ayew has arrived in Abu Dhabi where the team is opening its training camp.
The Qatar SC forward is one of the 55 players in the provisional squad that has been selected for the final 26-man squad.
The experienced forward has been key for the national team over the years and is expected to play an important role for the Black Stars at this year’s tournament.
The Black Stars will officially begin the Abu Dhabi camping on Monday, November 14.
The team will hold various training sessions under head coach Otto Addo and his assistants.
Later in the week, Ghana will face off with Switzerland in a final international friendly match.
After the friendly, the national team will travel to Qatar for the start of the world cup on November 20.
At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana is pitted in Group H to face Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
More players are expected to report to the camp of the Black Stars in Abu Dhabi in the next 24 hours.
