Women’s Premier Super Cup: Fabulous, Police Ladies book semis slots after matchday three

Fabulous Ladies and Police Ladies have qualified to the Semifinals of the ongoing Women’s Premier Super Cup, after match Day 3 in Group A was played concurrently at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium and the Utrecht Park.

Fabulous Ladies defeated Northern Ladies 1-0 in a thrilling game at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The game proved to be a gripping contest on the afternoon but a header from Princess Owusu settled the battle on the 62nd minute of the first half.

At the Utrecht Park, Pearlpia Ladies took the lead courtesy Abdul Rashid Faiza on the 5th minute before Police Ladies bounced back to equalize on the 9th minute of the first half.

Victoria Teye Williams of Police Ladies capitalized on a loose marking in the second half to score their winning goal in the 61st minute.

The results mean Fabulous Ladies and Police Ladies finished first and second in Group A to progress to the next stage of the competition.
