Women’s Premier Super Cup: Ampem Darkoa tops Group B after Match day three

Two drawn games were recorded on Match day three in Group B as Ampem Darkoa faced Faith Ladies at the Aliu Mahama stadium while Dreamz Ladies played against Lady Strikers at the Utrecht Park.

The Aliu Mahama Sports stadium hosted Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Faith Ladies in a fierce encounter. Faith Ladies came close to scoring in the 54th minute when Matilda Fosu hit the crossbar. Ampem Darkoa’s Deborah Brown also came to the party on several occasions to ensure the game ended goalless.

The second match in the group saw Dreamz Ladies and LadyStrikers play out a 1-1 drawn game at the Utrecht Park.

Dreamz Ladies broke the deadlock on the 20th minute through a Sarah Nyarko belter before Lady Strikers equalized on the stroke of extra time, the 48th minute through Helen Kutsanedzi.

Both teams kept searching for the winning goal which could not materialize by the 90th Minute.

These results mean Ampem Darkoa Ladies are the only qualified side heading into the semis – topping the Group with 5 points. Dreamz Ladies and Faith Ladies are tied on 3 points in the second place while Lady Strikers finished fourth with 2 points.

The second team to join Ampem Darkoa in the semis will be decided in a tie breaker between Dreamz Ladies and Faith Ladies.
