Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana was on target for Southampton in their 3-1 away win over French Ligue 1 side Montpellier in a pre-season friendly.
Sulemana missed a penalty but atoned for his mistake with a rebound in the early exchanges before Tyler Dibling doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime.
Harwood Bellis scored the third goal in the 55th minute, extinguishing any hope of a comeback after Wahbi Khazri pulled one back.
Sulemana will hope to continue his form as the English Premier League looms.
He featured for the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana before progressing through the Nordsjaelland grooming system and later moved to French Ligue 1 side Rennes before joining Southampton in England two years ago.
