When does the 2022 Premier League summer transfer window open & close?

The 2021/22 season is now over. The Champions League and Championship play-off finals that took place over the weekend ending May 29 signalled an end to the campaign in England and around Europe.

We are now set to focus on the UEFA Nations League, with England playing four games between June 4th and June 14th.

However, the summer transfer window is also nearly upon us. But when does the transfer window open for Premier League sides?

Well, as per the Premier League, the Summer 2022 Transfer Window for Premier League clubs will open on 10 June 2022 and will close at 23:00 BST on 1 September 2022. This is in line with other European leagues.

The Premier League season will begin on the weekend of August 6/7. This is one week earlier than the 2021/22 campaign started, in large part, due to the mid-season break we must have to accommodate the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Premier League fixtures for the 2022/23 season will be released at 9 am on Thursday, June 16.

Who could move this summer?

One of the biggest transfers of the 2022 summer window has already been agreed upon, with Erling Haaland set to complete his move to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund once the window is open.

Elsewhere, Sadio Mane looks set to leave Liverpool following their Champions League final defeat.

Manchester United are also expected to have a very busy summer under new boss Erik ten Hag.
