Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has praised the growing chemistry between him and fellow forward Kwame Opoku.
Amoah scored the winning goal in Kotoko’s 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinals, securing a spot in the final against Golden Kick FC.
“We’ve learned to play to our strengths,” Amoah said. “I always know where Kwame is positioned when we’re on the attack. It wasn’t like that at first—we didn’t connect well. But now, there’s a strong understanding between us.”
Amoah credited the coaches and fans for helping them improve their partnership. “The coaches and even our fans have spoken to us about our partnership, and that’s really helped us improve how we play together.”
With the FA Cup final approaching, Kotoko will focus on their Ghana Premier League campaign, facing Dreams FC at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday. Amoah’s goal-scoring form has been impressive, with eight goals this season, and he will look to continue his run against Dreams FC. The developing partnership between Amoah and Opoku could be a key factor in Kotoko’s success in their upcoming matches.
