We want to retain our best players, says Mikel Arteta

Mikel Arteta has revealed Arsenal are planning to keep their best players this summer.

Arsenal are keen to rebuild its squad ahead of the new season and Arteta says he has no plans of losing his best players this summer. The Gunners are aiming to return to European football’s premier club competition and want to have a competitive squad.

“What we want to do is improve the team and the squad. There’s not a player that can’t improve. We want to retain our best players for sure and add quality and depth,” he said.

“We have to be prepared for when we’re going to do that and why. We can control those timings. Sometimes it’s inevitable but we want to maintain our best players.”

The Gunners are currently fourth on the log with 63 points and will be hosting Leeds United on Sunday at the Emirates.
