FC Samartex 1996 midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh has stressed the need for “exra” effort to achieve their goals in the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign.
The Timbers were crowned champions after amassing 61 points in the just-ended Ghana Premier League and will represent the nation in the 2024/25 CAF Champions League competition.
Speaking to Joy Prime, Keyekeh reflected on their successful season through hard work:
“It has been an amazing season and all thanks to God. We also worked hard for it.”
“We knew before we won the league. We need to work hard for it because it is a different, big stage that we need to work extra hard for. Without that, we cannot achieve our goal.”
The 26-year-old midfielder played an instrumental role for Samartex, making 32 appearances, scoring five goals, and providing four assists.
