Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso praised his side’s disciplined display after their 1–0 home victory over Aduana Stars at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
Joseph Effah’s towering header in the 20th minute proved decisive, maintaining Nations’ unbeaten record on home soil and lifting them to 11th place on the Ghana Premier League table.
“It was a good game and most of the time you can see the physicality of the game,” Manso said.
“I think we needed this result and we did enough to make sure we win this game. [Victory] means a lot, that will help us move up.”
The result dealt Aduana FC a blow in their title ambitions, leaving them eight points behind league leaders Medeama and struggling to regain momentum.
Manso highlighted the importance of resilience and physicality as key factors in his team’s performance, insisting that his players executed the game plan effectively.
Up next for the hosts is an away game against FC Samartex.
