Deputy Communications and Administrative Manager of Bibiani Gold Stars FC, Joseph Oti Manu, has sent a strong warning to Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club ahead of Sunday’s crucial Ghana Premier League clash.
Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports, Oti Manu expressed unwavering confidence in Gold Stars’ impressive home record at Dun’s Park.
“We are the best club in the Premier League in home matches,” he declared.
The defending champions sit second on the table, just three points behind leaders Medeama Sporting Club, and know that victory over third-placed Hearts could significantly boost their title defence.
Gold Stars head into the fixture on the back of a vital 2-1 away victory against Heart of Lions Football Club, a result Oti Manu described as pivotal.
“It was very crucial. It was very difficult to win an away match. We are the best club in the Premier League in home matches, but we should do well if we want to win the league.”
He also praised Swiss head coach Fritz Schmid for sharpening the team’s mental strength since his arrival.
“Fritz Schmid has done refresher training courses with the players since he arrived. So psychologically, the team was up to the task to win that match. We are really ready to welcome Hearts of Oak on Sunday.”
With just three points separating the top three teams, Sunday’s showdown at Dun’s Park could prove decisive in the title race — and Gold Stars are banking on their home fortress to deliver once again.
