Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has admitted that his side is going through a tough period following a four-game winless run in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors have managed just two points from their last 12, losing twice and drawing twice. In that spell, they scored three goals and conceded five, a run of results that has dented their title ambitions and left them fifth on the table, five points behind leaders Medeama SC.
Speaking on the team’s current situation, Zito acknowledged the pressure on the club but insisted they remain focused on turning things around, starting with their MTN FA Cup assignment.
“I think we are in a difficult moment. The players, the technical team, and the IMC because of the poor results in recent matches. We must continue fighting for the objectives we have set for ourselves,” he told AKSC Media.
Kotoko will face Future Stars FC in the MTN FA Cup Round of 64 on Wednesday, December 10, at Okese Park, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 PM.
