We are happy to have big player Thomas Partey in our squad – Mikel Arteta

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey’s return from injury.

The Black Stars midfielder has been out of action since October 2023 when he sustained an injury while on international duty.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s match against Sheffield United on Monday, Mikel Arteta said the club is happy to have Thomas Partey back in the squad.

He described the player as a big player, adding that he hopes the midfielder can make a change for the team.

“We are happy to have Thomas Partey back to the squad. He is a big player and we hope he brings change and makes an impact,” Mikel Arteta said.

Although Thomas Partey is not in the starting eleven of Arsenal for the game against Sheffield United, he is likely to come on as a substitute in the second half.

His full recovery from injury is very good for Arsenal as the club pushes to win the English Premier League title.
