The Wassa Amenfi Traditional Council, led by Nana Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, the paramount chief, has donated GHc100,000 and a bull to FC Samartex 1996 in celebration of their historic maiden Ghana Premier League title.
The chief, accompanied by his sub-chiefs, made the donation to express appreciation to the Timbers for their outstanding performance and for bringing pride to Samreboi.
FC Samartex was officially crowned champions of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign last Sunday, clinching the title with two games remaining in the season.
In their final match, the team beat Accra Lions 2-0 to end the season.
The Wassa Amenfi elders and chiefs have pledged their support for the team’s upcoming African campaign, affirming their commitment to their ongoing success.
The Timber Giants will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League during the 2024/2025 season.
