Ghana has received the nod to host the 2022 West Africa Football Union (Wafu) Zone-B Under-17 Cup of Nations.

The seven-team tournament will come off between June 11 and 24.

It will feature Cote d’Ivoire who won the 2020 edition, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Niger and hosts Ghana.

All games will be played at Cape Coast Sports Stadium located in the Central region of Ghana.

The Wafu-B Championship will serve as qualifiers for the 2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) which has been expanded to twelve teams instead of eight.

The top two teams at the Cape Coast edition go on to represent Wafu-B at the U-17 Afcon to be hosted by Algeria.
