English-born Ghanaian striker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi registered an assist for Charlton Athletic as they defeated Stevenage 5-4 on penalties in the Carabao Cup after a 1-1 draw.
The 20-year-old, who lasted the entire duration of the game put up an impressive display to help the League One side advance to the last 16 stage of the competition.
Rak-Sakyi has scored four goals and provided four assists in 17 games for Charlton across all competitions this season.
Luke Norris gave Stevenage the lead in the 22nd minute through the penalty spot. Th hosts continued to press, with Taylor forcing Wollacott into a stop before clipping the bar minutes later.
After the recess, Charlton were much improved and levelled three minutes from time when Rak-Sakyi fed Aneke and the supersub smashed a powerful, right-footed shot past Chapman at the goalkeeper’s near post.
After four flawless spot-kicks, Wollacott dived to his left to save Taylor’s, before Fraser made no mistake to send the Addicks through.
