Ghana forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh netted his first goal for Freiburg in their 3-3 draw against Strasbourg in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
The 26-year-old climbed off the bench to salvage a draw for his side in their final pre-season fixture against the Ligue 1 side.
Freiburg took the lead in the 14th minute of the game through Japanese international Ritsu Doan before Streich’s team added the pressure towards the break and found a second goal. Following a one-two with Doan, Grifo found the far corner from the left hand side of the penalty area on 40 minutes.
After the recess, the Bundesliga side conceded three times before Kyereh stepped out onto the pitch to celebrate his Freiburg debut.
The summer signing from FC St. Pauli took just 13 minutes to find the net for the first time. A fine Hugo Siquet cross was headed past Strasbourg ‘keeper Eiji Kawashima.
Kyereh’s debut for Freiburg was delayed because of a injury.
