VIDEO: Semenyo scores in Bristol City defeat

Ghana international Antoine Semeyo came off the bench to score again as Bristol City fell 3-2 away to Norwich City in the English Championship Wednesday night.

A double from Teemu Pukki and another from his strike partner Josh Sargent set up a hard-fought win for the hosts.

Tommy Conway had pulled one back for the visitors before the halftime break.

After going down to Sargent’s strike which made it 3-1, Semenyo came off the bench for Mark Sykes in the 65th minute.

Norwich were guilty of overplaying at the back and when they got caught in the possession in the 77th minute, the ball fell kindly for Semenyo who put the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Tim Krul to pull the Robins back to within a goal.

The goal is the 4th in all competitions for 22-year-old Semenyo who has been restricted to bit-part roles as part of managing his return from injury during the summer break.

Bristol City threw everything at the home side but could not get a late equaliser that would have given them a fair share of the points. Watch highlights:

Antoine Semenyo is part of Ghana’s squad for September international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.
