Ghana striker Samuel Obeng scored on his debut to hand SD Huesca a 1-0 victory against CD Mirandés in the Spanish LaLiga 2 on Saturday.
The 25-year-old arrived at the Estadio El Alcoraz outfit on loan from Real Oviedo on winter transfer deadline day “in search of minutes and with the desire to rediscover myself at the level of last year with the coach who gave me confidence.”
The Huesca coach – Cuco Ziganda – thrust his trusted lieutenant of old into his starting line-up and Obeng did not disappoint by scoring the only goal as they snapped a 6-game winless run in the Segunda Division.
It was in the 73rd minute when Obeng connected to a Jorge Pulido header with a marvelous overhead kick from just outside the six-yard box.
