Ghana’s Thomas Partey shrugged off an injury scare from the international break to score his first goal in the 2022/23 season for Arsenal on Saturday.
The Gunners beat Tottenham 3-1 in the North London Derby (NLD) at Emirates Stadium to extend their lead at the top of the English top-flight.
Midfielder Partey put the home side ahead 20 minutes into the first half.

But Harry Kane levelled from the spot for Spurs.
Arsenal kept fighting and clinched the three points thanks to second-half goals from Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka.
Thomas Partey – subbed off after 72 minutes – did not feature for Ghana despite reporting for pre-World Cup friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua on September 23 and 27.
Discomfort around the knee during warm-up forced the 29-year-old to withdraw from the Brazil game. He was excused from camp as a precaution and thus missed the second game against Nicaragua.
