Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana got his first goal of the season as Stade Rennais eased past Auxerre 5-0 at Roazhon Park in the French Ligue 1 Sunday afternoon.
The hosts started strong and were rewarded for their efforts as early as the third minute through Sulemana.
The pacy winger – deployed on the left – received the ball and cut in to his right before unleashing a low grounder into the bottom corner.

Kamaldeen was replaced at halftime.
Despite piling more pressure, Rennais laboured until the hour mark for Amine Gouiri to register the second.
Rennais looked to have the match under control and 8 minutes on, Martin Terrier scored to establish a 3-0 lead.
Flavien Tait and Matthis Abline then took turns in the 78th and 85th minutes to extend the advantage.
Kamaldeen Sulemana’s goal was his first in 7 Ligue 1 games in the 2022/23 season.
Another Ghanaian, left-back Gideon Mensah was in action for Auxerre. He lasted the entire duration of the heavy defeat.
