Ghana international Antoine Semenyo scored his third goal in 3 games since the turn of the year and provided an assist as Bristol City secured a 4-2 Championship win over Birmingham at Ashton Gate on Saturday.
Semenyo opened the scoring after 17 minutes, using his chest to put the ball into an empty net after Cameron Pring fired the ball across the box.
Nahki Wells doubled the lead four minutes later.
A Troy Deeney penalty narrowed the deficit in the 34th minute after Tahith Chong was brought down in the box.
Two minutes after the break, Mark Sykes made it 3-1 with his first goal for Bristol City.
The winger doubled his tally and the Robins’ fourth on 66 minutes with Semenyo the creator this time around, squaring the ball across the six-yard box for Sykes to tap in.
Reda Khadra scored a late consolation for Birmingham.
Following Bristol City’s first win at Ashton Gate since October, Antoine Semenyo now has 5 goals and 3 assists in 22 matches so far in the 2022/23 English Championship.
