Update: Comfort Yeboah joins Black Queens camp in Rwanda

Ampem Darkoa’s Comfort Yeboah replaces Azumah Bugre in the Black Queens as the team prepares to face the She Amavubi “ of Rwanda in the first leg of the 2024 African Women Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Rwanda.

Azumah Bugre is out of the initial squad due to an injury picked up in her last game for her club,IFK Noorkoping.

Comfort Yeboah has been exceptional for Ampem Darko’s Ladies in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League and the Women’s FA cup for the 2022/23 season.

The defender was instrumental for her side in the WAFU Zone B qualifiers in Nigeria as they defeated host club, Delta Queens to earn a spot in the main tournament slated for Ivory Coast in November.

Ghana will take on Rwanda on Wednesday 20 September,2023 at the Kigali Pele Stadium in Rwanda at 13:00GMT.
