Head coach of Ghana’s Black Satellites, Desmond Ofei, has extended heartfelt appreciation to Ghanaian fans—both in Egypt and back home—for their unwavering support during the ongoing TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2025.
The passionate presence of Ghanaian supporters has been impossible to miss, with vibrant colors, chants, and energy lighting up the stands in all three of the team’s Group C matches. Ofei credited the fans for playing a crucial role in lifting the team’s spirits throughout the group stage.
“The atmosphere created by our fans at a youth tournament is remarkable,” he said. “Their energy, so far from home, has been a huge boost for the team’s morale.”
As Ghana gears up for a decisive quarter-final clash against tournament hosts Egypt on May 12 at the Suez Stadium, Ofei underlined the importance of continued support, noting that the players feed off the belief and passion of their supporters.
“The love from Ghanaians here and at home pushes us to fight for every moment. We’re committed to honoring the flag and making the nation proud,” he added.
With momentum building both on and off the pitch, the Black Satellites are determined to channel the energy from their fans into a strong performance as they chase a spot in the semi-finals—and a coveted place at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
