Two assists against Birmingham City reward for Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s hard work – Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has commended Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s impactful contributions in Leicester’s 3-2 victory over Birmingham City on Monday night in the English Championship.

Hall said them the two assists are the 19-year-old Ghanaians reward for working hard in the game.

Speaking in a post-game interview with Leicester’s media channel, Dewsbury-Hall highlighted Issahaku’s role in assisting two goals during the narrow win.

Dewsbury-Hall specifically praised Issahaku and winger Stephy Mavididi for their standout performances.

Issahaku provided the assist for Mavididi’s goal in the 10th minute and added another assist, contributing to Dewsbury-Hall’s goal in the 21st minute.

“It’s a great ball by Abdul [Fatawu]… They (Mavididi and Fatawu) were very good tonight. From minute one, they were causing problems, and they got their rewards with their goal contributions tonight so I’m very proud of them because they work hard.

“They have great flair, but they also work hard for the team.”

On loan from Sporting Lisbon, Issahaku boasts two goals and five assists in 19 games across all competitions.

The former Steadfast player’s impressive performances raise the possibility of his inclusion in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2023 AFCON.
