Tottenham target double Serie A swoop and will pay £41m to get the deal done

Tottenham are stepping up their interest in Torino duo Gleison Bremer and Wilfried Singo with a view to getting them both on board for next season.

Spurs are set for a busy summer in the transfer market and defence is an area that needs attention. Antonio Conte has been linked with a host of players but the Torino duo have emerged as top targets. Bremer and Singo have shone in Serie A this season and Spurs have taken notice.

Bremer plays in central defence, Singo at right-back, two areas Conte wants to bolster. Torino are sitting comfortably in midtable in Serie A and that is down to their defence.

Duo star in Serie A

They have conceded just 31 goals in Serie A this season. Only the top four, AC Milan, Inter, Napoli and Juventus have conceded less. It is no surprise then their defenders are attracting interest from elsewhere.

Bremer has been a rock in the heart of the Torino defence over the last two seasons. He has made 65 appearances during that time.

The 25-year-old has really stepped up to the plate this season. He has shown leadership skills when captaining the side and has also chipped in with three goals.

Torino have the Brazilian tied down to a contract until the end of 2024. However Tuttosport are claiming Tottenham will swoop for both him and Singo.

They apparently see him as the perfect partner for Cristian Romero. The duo could be the perfect central defensive partnership for years to come they say.

Along with Bremer, Spurs also want right-back Singo. The 21-year-old Ivory Coast ace has been a revelation for Torino. He has scored three goals and provided four assists so far this season.

Such a player is perfect for Conte’s system and the Italian wants him on board along with Bremer. Both players have their best years ahead of them and could turn out to be top signings.

Singo is out of contract in 2023 but Torino have the option to keep him for a further 12 months. Torino are bracing themselves for interest and Spurs are leading the chase.

Tottenham face strong competition

Tuttosport are suggesting that £41m could get the double deal done. However some reports have claimed it will cost that amount just to sign Bremer. The central defender’s price is said to have rocketed in recent weeks.

Tottenham would also face strong competition for Bremer. Arsenal, Leicester, Everton and Newcastle have also been linked.

Much could depend on Tottenham finishing in the Champions League places. But it would seem that Fabio Paratici is working on transfer deals regardless.
