Tottenham eyeing Southampton keeper

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Southampton keeper Fraser Forster in the summer.

The England international will be a free agent next month and Spurs want to pounce on that advantage as they look for a proper understudy to Hugo Lloris according to reports from The Athletic.

Spurs backup keeper Pierluigi Gollini is set to return to parent club Atalanta in the summer and the reports say that the club isn’t willing to turn his deal into a permanent one and with Champions League football coming next season, they want to sort the goalkeeping department as earlier as they can.

Having Forster will add to their legion of homegrown players with the club having been linked with West Bromwich Albion keeper Sam Johnstone for the same reasons.

Spurs qualified for the Champions League on the final day of the season following their huge win over Norwich who were already relegated. There are reports that manager Antonio Conte has already given a list of players he wants on the team for the campaign which promises to be hectic.
