Reports emerging over the weekend suggest Tottenham could be set to shake up their transfer policy for the 2022 summer transfer window.
For the most part, Tottenham have put a heavy focus on signing young talent and developing them further.
The likes of Pape Sarr, Emerson Royal, Bryan Gil and Dejan Kulusevski have all arrived at the club over the last year when aged 22 or under.
Now, though, The Athletic are suggesting that Tottenham’s transfer policy could be changed.
They report that there is some talk that Tottenham have decided to spend ‘every available pound’ on players who are ready for the first team, even if that means missing out on talented youngsters who under different circumstances they would love to sign.
However, they also claim that Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici is still said to be committed to his policy of signing talented players in their early twenties who will improve at Spurs.

Where do Tottenham need to improve?
Regardless of what age player they target, it is clear that Tottenham need some fresh legs at centre-back, especially on the left where Ben Davies is their only decent option.
Tottenham could also do with a new player or two in the wing-back roles, with Matt Doherty the only wing-back to really excel under Conte.
And finally, Tottenham also need some form of back-up option to Harry Kane.
