Thomas Partey prioritises happiness as Arsenal future hangs in the balance

Ghana international Thomas Partey says he is focused on enjoying his football as uncertainty looms over his next move.

The 31-year-old midfielder’s contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the month, with talks ongoing over a possible extension.

Despite a trophyless 2024/25 season, Partey featured consistently for the Gunners and was praised for his performances.

“People are talking about my availability because I was fit all season. Every training session, every match, I gave my best. Injuries are part of the game, but this year I felt great,” he told 3Sports.

Partey’s recent comments highlight the importance he places on happiness and balance as he considers the next step in his career.

“The most important thing is being happy where you play… For now, I just want to enjoy my football,” he added.
