Ghanaian defender Thomas Boakye is poised to return to Sweden, with Ettan Södra side Ängelholms FF on the verge of signing him.
The 32-year-old has been training with the club for months, following his stint with Icelandic second-tier side UMF Njardvik.
Boakye, who previously played for Halmstads BK in Sweden, is expected to add experience and depth to Ängelholms FF’s defensive unit.
Boakye’s time in Sweden saw him accumulate over 250 appearances and score 24 goals, primarily operating as a full-back and occasionally stepping into midfield.
His versatility and leadership are likely to be valuable assets for Ängelholms FF as they look to make their mark in the Ettan Södra.
