There was great teamwork from Leicester City against Stoke City – Abdul Fatawu Issahaku

Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku commended the exceptional teamwork displayed by Leicester City during their commanding 5-0 victory over Stoke City in the English Championship on Saturday.

The 19-year-old, who made a comeback after being sidelined due to a red card in the Foxes’ previous loss to Coventry on January 13, played a pivotal role by providing an assist.

Fatawu’s contribution contributed to Leicester’s dominance, extending their lead at the top of the table to 72 points, a substantial 11 points clear of second-placed Southampton.

Expressing his joy on social media after the game, the Ghanaian youngster acknowledged the remarkable teamwork, saying, “Great teamwork from the lads and what a lovely way to be back 👊🏾🔥thanks to the fans for their support 🙏🏾🦊.”

Patson Daka and Jamie Vardy were standout performers, each scoring twice to secure the emphatic victory. Daka’s first goal, assisted by Fatawu Issahaku, set the tone, while Kasey McAteer doubled the lead just before halftime.

Leicester’s first penalty of the day allowed Daka to notch his second goal in the second half, with Jamie Vardy coming off the bench in the 70th minute to cap off the impressive performance.

Fatawu Issahaku’s season statistics in the Championship now stand at 24 appearances, two goals, and eight assists, showcasing his significant impact on Leicester City’s campaign.
