Mohamed Salah is closing in on a pretty impressive record that he could break during Liverpool’s outing with Villarreal.
Salah has been instrumental to Liverpool’s success over the last several years both at home and in Europe, scoring a plethora of goals during Liverpool’s runs to the Champions League final in 2018 and 2019.
The Reds of course came up short in the 2018 final with Mo Salah taken off injured in the first half, but the Reds got their revenge a year later, beating Tottenham 2-0 in one of the more boring finals from recent memory.
Now, in 2022, Liverpool are once again amongst the favourites to win the competition.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are in semi-final action on Wednesday, taking on Spanish side Villarreal in a tie they are heavy favourites to win.

However, Unai Emery is something of a master when it comes to knockout football and has already caused a major upset in this year’s competition when his side knocked out Bayern Munich.
Despite this, most will still fancy Liverpool to book their spot in this year’s final, meaning Salah could have another three games this season to break a record.
Said record is the most goals scored by a player in the Champions League from an English club.
The record is currently held by Sergio Aguero and Didier Drogba, but Salah is just three goals behind:
