The loan spell at Liefering really went well – Lawrence Agyekum

Midfielder Lawrence Agyekum has expressed his desire to compete for a starting position at Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg after a successful loan stint at Liefering.

After leaving the Ghana Premier League, where he played for WAFA, he joined the Austrian team in February 2022 but was then loaned out to Liefering to get additional playing experience.

Agyekum feels he is prepared for the significant challenge at the Austrian side after having the chance to participate in the UEFA Youth League at Liefering, where his team ended as runners-up.

“The loan spell really went well. The league games. I had the chance to play in the UEFA Youth League and we came out second,” he told Joy Sports.

“I played well. With my technique, pressing, work rate, I really helped the team,”

“I know there will be a lot of competition in the team but I am ready. I am always ready even if it’s a minute I will get to play, I am ready to put in all my effort to help the team win,” he ended.
