Swedru All Blacks will look to end their poor run of form when they welcome Heart of Lions to the Swedru Sports Stadium on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
The newly promoted side have managed just two wins from seven matches and are under growing pressure after losing four of their last five games. Their Egyptian head coach, Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi, remains confident his team can bounce back despite a difficult start to life in the top flight.
Heart of Lions, meanwhile, returned to winning ways with a commanding 3-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars last weekend. Head coach Bashir Hayford attributed their earlier struggles to complacency, admitting some players “got swollen-headed” after a bright start that saw them briefly top the league after four rounds.
Currently third on the table with 14 points, Lions will aim to keep their title hopes alive with another strong performance. All Blacks, sitting 13th with six points, will need both discipline and resilience to halt their slide and secure what would be only their third victory of the season.
