Former Black Meteors striker Samuel Obeng has joined Moroccan top-flight side Wydad Athletic Club in the winter transfer window.
Obeng moves from Portuguese club Casa Pia, where he had a brief stint, scoring one goal in 11 appearances.
Despite his short spell in Portugal, Wydad Athletic Club were impressed by his talent and potential, prompting them to secure his services to strengthen their attack.
This transfer marks a new chapter in Obeng’s career as he joins an African club for the first time.
While he previously featured in North Africa during the 2019 CAF U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt, this move offers him his first experience in African club football.
Obeng has shown versatility and skill throughout his career, having played for several Spanish clubs, including Getafe, Girona, Real Oviedo, Granollers, and Calahorra.
With his experience and talent, Obeng is expected to play a crucial role in Wydad’s quest for success in the Moroccan top-flight league.
