Dutch striker of Ghanaian descent, Brian Brobbey scored with a calm strike on Thursday night when Ajax lost 3-2 to USV Hercules in the Dutch KNVB Beker.
The forward was in action for the losing team today in the Dutch domestic cup competition.
In the game in the Round of 32, the hosts stunned Ajax in the first minute when Tim Pieters equalised.
Although Ajax would eventually recover from the shock, the team could not restore parity in the first half.
Later in the second half, Tim Pieters punished Ajax again as he scored his second of the night to double the lead for USV Hercules.
Shortly after, Brian Brobbey scored to half the deficit for Ajax in the 83rd minute before Chuba Akpom also scored to bring the scoreline to 2-2.
Unfortunately, the efforts of Ajax could not earn a single point.
A Mats Grotenbreg strike in the 90th minute ensured that USV Hercules secured a 3-2 win to advance to the next round.
