Highly rated Ghanaian defender Stephen Acquah has secured his long-term future with Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjælland after signing a contract extension that runs until 2030.
The 19-year-old centre-back has been rewarded for his rapid rise and consistent performances in Denmark’s top flight.
Acquah joined the Farum-based club in 2024 from Ghana’s renowned Right to Dream Academy and has made swift progress since his arrival.
The teenage defender broke into the senior setup in less than a year, underlining the club’s confidence in his development.
“I am happy that I have now extended my contract with FC Nordsjælland, because it is something I have worked hard for. I was very proud when I made my debut in the Superliga, and now I am just looking forward to the future.”
Sporting director Alexander Riget highlighted the defender’s versatility and growth within the squad.
“Stephen has developed a lot over the past year, and the autumn matches have shown that he is ready to fight for minutes in the Super League. He has good physical potential, so he can handle himself in one-on-one duels, and at the same time he also has a nice calmness with the ball.”
Acquah has already featured in 18 matches across all competitions this season, becoming a key part of the FC Nordsjælland setup.
