Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif proposes modern, inclusive ways to manage Ghana’s national teams

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif has indicated that it is important for various stakeholders to come together to find solutions to address the deteriorating state of football in the country.

In an address on the floor of Parliament on Wednesday, February 14, the Minister “emphasized the importance of engaging stakeholders to initiate measures that will lead to a national dialogue involving all parties.”

According to Mustapha Ussif, coming up with modern and inclusive ways to manage the various Ghana national teams will help a great deal.

In a statement to acknowledge receipt of a petition presented to him by the organisers of the ‘Save Ghana Football Demonstration’, the Minister assured that the issues raised have been taken seriously.

“Today, I received a petition from the organizers of the ‘Save Ghana Football Demonstration.’ I appreciate the concerns raised by the demonstrators and assure you that we are taking them seriously. We will engage with the leadership of the group to understand their grievances and work towards finding lasting solutions,” the Sports Minister said.

Mustapha Ussif continued, “Your voices have been heard, and together, we will work towards revitalizing Ghanaian football for the benefit of all. Thank you for your passion and commitment to our beloved sport. #SaveGhanaFootball.”

Meanwhile, the Ghana FA is in the process of finding a new head coach for the Black Stars.

It is part of steps being taken to ensure the male senior national team is revived.
