Ghana forward Emmanuel Gyasi has expressed delight after helping Spezia survive another Serie A campaign. 

The Black Stars forward scored as Spezia defeated Udinese to stay in the Italian topflight with a game remaining.

Having had a tough start to the campaign, the Eagles bounced back strongly in the second half with the Ghanaian the focal point of their success.

“It is said that there is no 2 without 3 and we have strongly wanted the third and always believed in every single moment of this fantastic season. Thanks to the effort of the whole team who never gave up even in the most difficult moments,” he wrote on Facebook.

“But above all thanks to you our WONDERFUL Fans who have always been by our side. Thanks to the staff for the excellent leadership that in these situations made us understand and somatize the importance and unity of this incredible team, always finding the strength not to doubt and fight for the goal; SALVATION. We are still here. The Team, The City, the Fans, we are here and we will STILL be HERE. ForzA SpeziA,” he added.

Emmanuel Gyasi scored six goals including important strikes against Juventus and AC Milan as the Liguria club battled for survival.

The 28-year-old could leave the club at the end of the season with Sassuolo ready to sign him in the summer transfer window.
