Russian giants Spartak Moscow have taken to the club’s social media platforms on Thursday, to poke fun at Bayern Munich over the club’s ongoing pursuit of Sadio Mane.
The name of wide-man Mane has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines over the last couple of weeks.
This comes after the Senegalese international made clear his desire to seal a departure from Liverpool, ahead of the 2022/23 campaign getting underway.
The aforementioned Bayern, in turn, have been hotly tipped as a potential landing spot for the former Southampton standout, ahead of the predicted exits of both Serge Gnabry and Sadio Mane.
To this point, however, to say that the efforts of the board at the Allianz Arena to coax their Liverpool counterparts into a sale have come up short would be something of an understatement.

The Bundesliga champions’ opening offer, comprising an alleged £21 million plus a further £4 million in potential add-ons was knocked back without a 2nd thought.
Then, on Wednesday, word was forthcoming that Bayern had returned to the table with an improved proposal.
On this occasion, the deal is understood to have come to a total of £30 million. However, bizarrely, it was subsequently revealed that such a figure would only come the way of Liverpool in the case that Mane clinched 3 (yes, THREE) Ballons d’Or across his stint in Bavaria.
The offer, inevitably, was therefore too rejected.

And now, as alluded to above, the frankly insulting endeavours on the part of Bayern Munich to take advantage of both Mane’s contract situation, and desire for a new challenge, have seen the German outfit become the butt of the joke on the part of another altogether recognisable European giant.
The outfit in question? Spartak Moscow.
Taking to social media on Thursday afternoon, Spartak, unveiled a humourous post, consisting of a fabricated Bayern bid for Alexander Sobolev.
The proposal, an evident jibe at the Bavarians over the nature of their follow-up offer for Mane, is said to consist of 1,000 euros up front, followed by the following trio of add-ons:
- 10 million euros if Bayern wins Eurovision
- 15 million euros if Manchester United wins a trophy
- 20 million euros if Lionel Messi joins Real Madrid
