Ghana captain Andre Ayew remains in his magisterial form as he got on the score-sheet for Al Sadd in their pre-season draw with Hungarian side Haladas FC on Saturday.
Aside from scoring the leveller for Juanma Manuel Lilo’s men, the ex-West Ham United was quick and abrasive in his offensive duties throughout the clash which took place in Austria where the Qatari giants have pitched their pre-season camp.
Ayew influentially steered his side back into the game after they had fallen behind in their early moments of the game.
Through his evergreen game-reading abilities and intelligent movements in the vital area, the Black Stars captain was able to sink through the Haladas low blocks which was packed with a sea of defenders. As a matter of fact, the build-up to the goal was his initiation – lacing through the opposition backline with a proper body streamline and swerves that cut the Hungarians’ defence lines open. He dashed off to receive the return ball which he planted firmly into the bottom corner.

The ex-West Ham United man, 32, smashed 18 goals in his debut season at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
