The Chinese Super League action continues on Tuesday with a late morning clash between 4th placed Shandong Taishan and their 3rd placed visitors, Henan Songshan, when the two teams face off at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium with a valuable three points at stake for both sides.
Shandong Taishan will be eager to return to home soil after being beaten 2-0 away at Zhejiang Professional last time out in the Super League which put an end to a previous three-game winning streak that consisted of victories against Guangzhou City, Changchun Yatai and Dalian Pro respectively.

Even more impressive was the fact that Shandong Taishan kept clean sheets in each of these three wins while also racking up a total of 8 goals in the process.
While the bigger picture also looks a promising one for Tuesday’s hosts as well.
Shandong Taishan have lost just two of their last 19 matches overall, both of which were away from home.
But on home soil, Shandong have won 14 of their last 16 games which will give them a boost here.
Henan Songshan sit just one league position above their hosts in 3rd spot and hold a two-point buffer ahead of Tuesday’s important clash at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium and they too will be in confident mood as they bring a solid six-match unbeaten run into this encounter.
Within this six-game sequence, Henan Songshan have picked up four wins which have come in the form of victories over Shandong Taishan (at home), Zhejiang Professional, Guangzhou City and Dalian Pro, while the bigger picture shows that the visitorts have also lost just twice in their last 16 matches overall.
However, although Henan Songshan have won two out of their last three games on the road, the visitors have managed to pick up just the three wins out of their last 14 outings on their travels which also include five defeats as well.
One of these defeats was a 2-0 loss away at Tuesday’s opponents, Shandong Taishan, and having also failed to score in eight of these previous 14 away games, Henan Songshan may have their work cut out to break down their hosts on Tuesday morning.
In addition, Shandong Taishan have also won five of the last six home meetings against Henan Songshan so the hosts with the handicap looks the best option here.
