Premier League outfit Chelsea have been informed of the minimum fee that will be required to coax Sevilla into the sale of Jules Kounde, according to reports.
French international Kounde was of course widely expected to make the move to Stamford Bridge last summer, amid lengthy negotiations between the respective boards at Chelsea and La Liga outfit Sevilla.
In the end, however, the former saw their efforts come up short, as Sevilla stood firm in their demands that the club’s star defender’s release clause be paid in full.

Nevertheless, Chelsea have long been expected to return with a fresh assault for Kounde’s signature this summer, on the back of the free agent departures of both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
And, if the latest word stemming from Spain on Monday is anything to go by, then, in fact, those in a position of power in west London have already gone as far as to table an opening offer for their no.1 summer target.
As per Marca, ‘recent days’ saw the Blues place a €50 million proposal on the table of their counterparts at Sevilla.
The bid in question, however, was swiftly rebuffed.
This comes with the transfer team at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium having made clear that they will not even engage in negotiations over Kounde’s sale unless the club’s €65 million asking price is met in full.
