Italian Serie A outfit US Lecce have emerged as admirers of German-born midfielder Kofi Amoako as the January transfer window gathers pace.
The 20-year-old, who is of Ghanaian descent, currently plays for 2. Bundesliga side Dynamo Dresden, where he has enjoyed a steady rise since arriving in the summer of 2025.
Reports from German media indicate that Lecce are monitoring Amoako closely as they look to reinforce their midfield options for the second half of the season.
Sky Germany claims discussions have already been initiated between the Italian club and Dynamo Dresden, although no agreement has been finalised.
Amoako, a former VfL Wolfsburg player and ex-Hanover 96 youth prospect, has made 17 appearances across all competitions this season, drawing attention with his composure and physical presence.
His performances have positioned him as one of Dresden’s notable young assets in the current campaign.
Despite representing Germany at youth level, the Hanover-born midfielder remains eligible to play for Ghana internationally, a factor that could add to his long-term appeal.
Lecce are expected to continue talks as they push to conclude the deal before the winter window closes.
