SERIE A 2022/2023 FIXTURES – CRITERIA AND RESTRICTIONS –

The 2022-2023 Serie A fixture list will be unveiled tomorrow, 24 June, at 12 noon.

Below are the restrictions and criteria that will be respected in the compilation of the Serie A fixtures. Again this season return leg matches will be in a different order, both in terms of sequence and composition within a round, compared to the first leg:

– There is an absolute alternation of home and away matches for the following pairs of clubs:

EMPOLI-FIORENTINA
INTER-MILAN
JUVENTUS-TORINO
LAZIO-ROMA
NAPOLI-SALERNITANA

– a match will not have its return before 8 other rounds have been played;

– no matches between Milan, Inter, Napoli, Juventus, Lazio, Roma and Fiorentina can be scheduled in the midweek rounds;

– no derbies are scheduled in the midweek rounds and on the first round;

– the clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League (Milan, Inter, Napoli, Juventus) will not play against the clubs participating in the UEFA Europa League (Lazio and Roma) and the clubs participating in the UEFA Conference League (Fiorentina) on matchdays scheduled between two consecutive rounds of UEFA competitions;

– in all the cases in which this has been possible, the situations of unavailability of the pitch and/or concomitance with other city events of special importance have been taken into account.
