Semenyo’s Manchester City has closed the gap on leaders Arsenal, defeating Newcastle United 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Nico O’Reilly scored a brace, netting in the 14th and 27th minutes, while Lewis Hall equalized briefly for Newcastle in the 22nd minute.

The victory marks City’s fifth consecutive win in all competitions, extending their unbeaten run to eight matches.

This result puts them just two points behind Arsenal, who drew 2-2 with Wolves on Wednesday.

Pep Guardiola’s side showed resilience and determination, holding off Newcastle’s late pressure to secure the win.

Antoine Semenyo, who started the match, had a chance to extend City’s lead but was denied by a superb save from Nick Pope.

With this win, City has narrowed Arsenal’s lead, setting up a thrilling title race.
