Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has confirmed that Antoine Semenyo will be available for selection against Arsenal on Saturday, despite advanced negotiations over a reported £65 million transfer to Manchester City.
Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash, Iraola dismissed suggestions the deal has already been sealed.
“Semenyo will play tomorrow against Arsenal. Nothing is signed,” he said.
The Ghana international is believed to have agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions, with talks reportedly at an advanced stage to activate his release clause. Semenyo’s representatives are understood to have been in Manchester this week to finalise contract details, with an official announcement expected in the coming days.
The 25-year-old has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers over the past two seasons, using his pace, power and versatility to establish himself as one of the league’s most sought-after forwards. His potential departure would be a major blow for the Cherries as they push through a crucial phase of the campaign.
For now, however, Iraola insists Semenyo remains fully focused on his club duties, meaning supporters at the Vitality Stadium could be watching him in a Bournemouth shirt for the final time when title-chasing Arsenal visit.
A move to the Etihad Stadium would mark a significant step in Semenyo’s career, offering Champions League football and the opportunity to work under Pep Guardiola, while adding a dynamic attacking option to City’s already formidable squad.
