Ghana striker Samuel Obeng has been signed by Spanish LaLiga2 side SD Huesca until the end of the 2022/23 season.
The 25-year-old joins from Real Oviedo who will reportedly receive a token of 100,000 euros in compensation for his five-month stay.
Obeng reunites with José Ángel Ziganda, a manager he had worked under for two years in Oviedo. Cuco expressly demanded his signing.
An excerpt from the club statement on Monday read:
“Samuel Obeng (Nsapor, Ghana, 1997) is already an SD Huesca player, reinforcing the Barca offense until the end of the season.
“The striker arrives on loan from Real Oviedo, where he already met Cuco Ziganda. Thus, he adds his speed and a competitive character to the coach’s board.”
