Samuel Mensah Konney scores for Rahmatganj MFS against Chittagong Abahani in Bangladesh

Ghanaian forward Samuel Mensah Konney stole the spotlight, showcasing his striking prowess on the pitch for Rahmatganj MFS.

The Friday morning fixture against Chittagong Abahani unfolded as a game of resilience and skill, culminating in a riveting 1-1 draw.

From the first whistle, it was evident that this encounter would be a battle of individual brilliance. Chittagong Abahani struck first, with defender Yeasin Khan finding the back of the net in the 34th minute. A precision header following a short corner and a well-placed long ball from Mannaf Rabby left Rahmatganj MFS trailing.

However, the Green and Yellow lads, led by the dynamic duo of Samuel Mensah Konney and compatriot Ernest Boateng, were undeterred.

The turning point arrived in the 55th minute when Konney illuminated the pitch with a sensational goal. A loose ball from Mohamed Al-Amin’s long free kick found its way to Konney, who seized the opportunity and expertly leveled the score.

Rahmatganj MFS will play Fortis in their next league game on 19th January.
